Finding the Balance: The Story Behind Each Way
Each Way is our take on a West Coast Pils, a style Head Brewer Abby fell hard for while travelling through the US late last year. What stood out immediately was the contrast: a super clean, ultra-crisp lager base paired with bold, expressive hops. Clean meets punchy. Refreshing meets flavour-forward.
“That balance is what really hooked me,” says Abby, “It drinks like a classic lager, but the hop character is unmistakably West Coast. Once I got home, I knew we had to brew one.”
The goal was simple: create a beer that’s crisp, snappy and endlessly drinkable, but with enough hop presence to keep things exciting.
Hop-Forward, Lager-Clean
Each Way is built on a lean pilsner backbone that lets the hops shine without sacrificing drinkability. While the base stays classic and restrained, the hop bill brings energy and freshness in spades.
Abby loaded this beer with Chinook, Citra Cryo, Simcoe Cryo and Krush, layering classic West Coast character with modern intensity.
Chinook delivers punchy citrus peel, pine and resin.
Citra Cryo adds bright grapefruit, lime and tropical lift.
Simcoe Cryo brings depth, with notes of passionfruit, berry and a hint of dankness.
Krush ties it all together with juicy stone fruits and subtle melon.
The result is an aroma that feels straight out of the hop bag - vibrant, fresh and impossible to ignore.
A Beer Between Worlds
Each Way sits comfortably between styles. It drinks clean and crisp like a lager, but carries the aromatic intensity and flavour hit more often found in hop-forward beers.
“It’s a bit of this, a bit of that,” Abby says. “Perfect for lager drinkers who want more hop character or hop lovers who still want something refreshing and easy.”
Balanced, modern and seriously drinkable, Each Way is proof that you don’t have to choose between crispness and hops — you can have both.
